Will Solicitors in Glasgow

What is a Will?

A will is one of the most important things we can do to protect our assets in ensuring that they will be shared and distributed to family, friends, charities and so on.

Failure to make a will can result in difficulties for your loved ones who are left behind by, for example, paying more tax than may be required if a will was in place. If you have no will in place, your estate (e.g. money, assets, possessions) could be distributed according to Law as opposed to via your instructions and wishes.

A will can cover multiple different issues and/or scenarios including, for example:

  • Who you designate to take ownership of your assets and possessions
  • How your children/grand-children are to be cared for
  • Appointment of Executor(s) to dispose of your estate in accordance with your wishes
  • Funeral expenses to be paid and any additional arrangements
  • Donations to charities (domestic & foreign)

How we can help

Wills can be complicated depending upon individual preferences and specifications. It is crucial, however, that a will is drawn up by a solicitor no matter how simple or complex the will is to ensure that legal formalities have been followed correctly and to ensure that the will is not invalid.

We can help to ensure that a will is suitable to your needs, encompasses everything you wish it to include and is legally binding.
